When you get enough time on a machine to make it look easy to bystanders, that's when it is the most fun. You operate without thinking, it's just intuitive. They are standing there watching you and thinking "I can do that, it looks so easy". You are operating and know "Ha, it isn't as easy as it looks, I've been practicing".

I guess I have mixed emotions about this. I grew up earning my spending money doing row crop farming and continued on into my late 20s. Probably enough "seat time" to change most opinions here. I remember hating the sight of a jd8630 at 6am, or a the smell of a spray coupe, or itch of bean dust and taste of disc dirt (aka mud) from a tailwind. The smell of freshly plowed ground ain't so great when both nostrils are plugged with it. It's not so romantic when you do it all day, every day, for peanuts.

Now I have a real job that pays 10 times what I made then. So what do I do for the 6 mos a year I'm not overseas??????? I farm! It feels good for the firt week or so, but after 5 weeks of seat time, I'm ready to go offshore and "disconnect".

I guess my answer is the equipment are tools for buisness, yet enjoyable to operate, in moderation.
