Do You Get Good Service If You Buy Elsewhere?

I bought in NC in May of this year, Tc-30,7308, saved 2kplus taxes, both local new holland dealers said that was an "A"plan price?, whatever, so far so good no warranty work required, I did my 50 hour myself, figured it was time to get up close and personal with the beast. I did buy a rear remote spool valve and installed myself with local dealer support, I asked them point blank about any warranty work and they told me they would take care of it and asked if there was a problem, that was good, I have a friend with a TC-25 w/o a fel, paid 2300 more 1 year /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif before I bought. Now he got the 50 hour free and free transpartation while it is on warranty, but I have a truck and my brother-in-law has a car hauler. I know I could winch it on that trailer if required. So far so good with my out of state purchase. This was all done with the phone and fax but it was tough to mail that check and sit back and wait for it to show up without looking that dealer in the eye. I was online and phone with the NC buisiness department and on mapquest finding their exact location, trying to make sure this was going to go well, and it did mostly because the dealer did what he said he would do.

I would think that you would have to pay the bill and then submit your bill for payment from them. I cant imagine many shops working on an outside piece of equipment and then letting it leave with the expectation that they are going to be paid in full by that company.

That's what I thought at first, too. Apparently, they have a program where the dealer fills out some forms and then becomes an 'Approved' warranty shop for TYM. The system sounds pretty good if it really works the way they say.

The service facility does have to meet certain qualifications to be considered but any full time dealership with full time mechanics will most likely qualify. They have to be certified before they perform the warranty work though. Of course if they are a TYM dealer than they will work on your tractor no matter who or where it was purchased from.

I think the burden lies on the dealer if he/she is good to you a couple thousand over the life of the tractor is nothing. If you are dealing with a dealer (like some in the North East) who want you to beg them to show you a tractor and then quote you list price that is a diffrent story.

We offer free pick up and delivery for the life of the tractor, do three or four day (multiple tractor) at home demo's plus free fifty hour service ect. things that cost you money.

Another thing to consider, if you have a mishap or some kind of questionable warranty issue a good local dealer will press the manufacturer to warranty something that would be considered abuse or eat it themselves . I doubt that will happen if you buy out of state.
