I've had a lot of luck with Opti-Lube XPD. I run it in all of my diesel trucks and the tractor. It's not real cheap but it did very well on independent tests.

Just use clean fuel matched to the season. At most some IPA maybe required to absorb water due to condensation. There is a sub culture of operators that take it upon themselves to use #2 summer diesel in the winter by using elixirs, potions and voodoo. They are related to another group of oddities that feel the need to add miracle supplements to anywhere in a machine with a reservoir of sorts and a fill cap. They also tend to look for signs and symbols in the sky etc.

Cheap insurance. Ive had fuel gel when I needed the tractor to plow drives. No fun, never again.

Never ran any last winter. -20 a few times and no issues. Our winter fuel here in Montana is typically blended though.......

I run diesel extreme hot shot every few tanks.

I add Power Services to 300 gallon diesel tank every time I get it filled. We use the regular PS as never gets cold enough for the Winter blend PS here.

I use PowerService white in winter and Silver in summer ... so I use it year round.
