5030 - like you, I do not hate anything or anybody. I tend to avoid those who rub me the wrong way. Makes life go a whole lot smoother.

It's my opinion that people that 'hate' eventually get consumed by it and at my stage of life with my issues (that you are aware of I might add) I prefer not to dwell on such things.

We are all here for a finite amount of time. Best to enjoy it and not dwell on the negative.

Me too. (y)
I plow around the irritant.

I am new to this forum... and am very interested in purchasing one of these gearbox shields. I cannot get the website to work, and was wondering if they are out of business. Anyone know for sure?
Any suggestions? Like in the video, I cut the old shield off!
Well, on FB Ted or someone posted the website would be down for maintenance. There have also been post that EA is back in business just not fully yet. So it is an uncertain situation to say the least. Supposedly Grapples will be the only product for a while.

Whatever transpires, Ted needs to change his business ethic a bit.

True story. Looooong ago - driving home. Saw a large Nodwell drilling some sort of test hole out in a vacant field. Stopped to investigate. It was a soil test hole. Another shopping center.

As I stood there - heard a loud "klack". Immediately a large hole burst open in a Cadillac parked about 100 feet away. This hole was the size of a dinner plate and in the passenger door of the car.

The diesel engine on the Nodwell sped up for a moment and then went to idle. The big U-joint that held the auger bit had broken. A large part of it flew across the work area and blew a hole in the Cadillac door.

And we all hope those plastic U-joint shields on our PTO shafts are adequate. Boy - I certainly hope so.

I was curious, took the designs off their website and asked a huge machine shop in Texas that does industrial work how much they'd charge to make something that looks as nice as the EA version. Well, they charge $150/hr and said 5-6 hours (engineering plus production) so obviously not worth it. I suppose you could make your own if you have the equipment and time (I don't). Just out of curiosity, does another brand make something similar that'd fit a Bush Hog? I too hate the plastic cone on mine.

I've never had one come apart but then I keep them greased.
