I got 3 of em, first one at the end of the lane says "private keep out" couple hundred feet further one that says "come no further unescorted, guard dog" a hunderd feet beyond that one that says "doberman on patrol".
Wife hates all 3 signs, and government employees won't come on the property without calling for permission first, so I think they're working.
I buried the doberman 15 months back, but the signs will stay forever. Might get me another doberman too.

...get a skin full of silly water and loan it for a day....

Now that's an OZ phrase I never heard before. Think it will become as common as "walkabout"? If I interpreted your phrase correctly Jdkid, that means "got drunk and stole it." Am I right? Is it true that "under the weather" in Australia means "drunk as can be" or is that just a rumor?

Okay, DaRube. How about this:

THIS PROPERTY PROTECTED BY KILLER TEDDY BEARS!
Tresspassers will be hugged and tickled to death.

That would probably work as good as my No Trespassing signs around my lake. AARGH!

it's not a sign, but just as good: it's a mailbox stuck on top of a 15 ft. pole that reads 'JUNK MAIL' .

jd, I used to have a little Isetta 300 that had the same sort a problem that statue did. I found that darn thing on the steps of the local sherrif's substation, in the lobby of the local bowling alley, on top of a covered walkway ... to mention a few. Got so I chained it to a light pole with a loggin' chain! Fun little toy though!

I like the sign my friend has on his driveway: "no tresspassing, survivers will be prosecuted."

I've seen a mailbox on a 15' pole like that, but it said "Air Mail" on the box.

Scruffy, I half seriously considered buying an Isetta once (in 1958). I think it was about 2 years old and the dealer told me I could take it home for the weekend to try it out. They said it would get 50 miles to the gallon, they put one gallon of gas in it, and I had 40 miles home to my Dad's service station. I ran out of gas about 6 miles short of getting there./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif An elderly couple stopped and picked me up and took me to town, and the guy asked if I wanted to just try to put the Isetta in his trunk?/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bird, that ol' Isetta (mine was a 58) was more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Only did 45 mph or so, but a lot of fun. The 300 was a single door in front, one cylinder engine, rear wheels spaced about 6" apart.... I rolled the turkey one time on a corner that I always took at 45/50 with my 55 Dodge H/T .. without pushing it I might add. I was doing 40 when it rolled! Thing was like an egg, and didn't suffer any real damage...had to realine the door to open and close it, and replace a headlight...that was it.
Now the Fiat 600 was MORE fun! It wasn't much bigger, but it would still fit in the back of my Dad's ol 62 Chev 3/4 ton p/u!
The ultimate was the Fiat Abarth! Great little machine and hotter than a pistol fa.t! Last known location was down behind the barn...blew an engine, and the only way you could get one for the Abarth was import it at 2.5 grand + shipping etc. Easier to get parts for my 55 Dodge w/325 hemi in it!
