Do you have a drone?

I'm really enjoying it. Autel has a fantastic library of Tutorials. Fire up the Drone, turn on a video to learn the advanced stuff. Also learning video editing using Movie Maker. Good stuff for a rusty brain!!!! :)
That video and audio editing and over dubbing can consume many a night! It's addicting.

Yep, it's entertaining. I'm very slow at it and make a lot of mistakes. :)

Those aren't mistakes, those are learning opportunities! :)

Yeah but, by the time I fix the mistake I can't remember what I was trying to learn!!!! :)

The first link was a good forum read. One contributor kept saying no Canadian would be allowed to fly because of the airstrip reg. I find that hard to believe? I'm 12 miles from the nearest. I'm new at this and have only flown 6 hours to date. I don't think I've violated any of those rules yet.///
The basis for that statement is that it's 9km from any facility that supports flight operations of any kind.

Most hospitals have helipads. So do many industrial parks, businesses like news organizations, colleges, and even private homes.

On the FAA's B4UFLY app, these are all listed. While we are just outside the five miles for Logan airport, the local newspaper has a registered helipad, there are a couple hospitals four miles away, and the bay three miles away is registered as a seaplane landing area. They don't fly in winter, but the app doesn't know that. Tailwind - New York City to Boston Seaplane Flights

Canada may not have a similar app: but if you are 8.9km from a lake used by seaplanes, you're shut down. Because the government knows best.

I would have never considered purchasing a Drone if I lived in the city and didn't have access to a farm to fly on.
I found i was just under 2 miles away from an airstrip. It's a grass airstrip, for the ranch it's on and i didn't even realize it was there.

I download an app for my ipad that FAA publish, and that's how i found the airfield.

Has anyone used their drone to chase wild pigs from their property? Are wild pigs spooked by drones?

I think all wildlife would be spooked. At 150ft elevation you can hear it when it's quite far away.

I passed over some cattle at 200ft elevation and they looked up.

I hope they give all the seagulls notice as well, pelicans that weigh up to 15kg (33lbs) as an adult, kids flying kites, and all other manner of airborne wildlife. Typical liberal knee-jerk reaction "ban it!"

An astronaut might have seemed like a good idea for a transport minister, but when you think about it, this dude's commute to work when he was an astronaut used 4.4 million pounds of fuel. Tier 4 the shuttle was not ;) (this is all tongue in cheek, in case nobody got that. Still think he's a d1ck though.)

Since we are into banning in Canada, how about the well known Canada goose (up to 14lbs as an adult)? they commute, but I guess aircraft strikes are unlikely right?
