Sorry it's taken so long to reply - I got off shift, got into home projects, and then, well, you pretty much said it - been glued to either radio or TV for three weeks. While I was cutting the last of the firewood, I'd come out of the woods to the access road, set the saw on the tailgate, turn on the radio, then gas up/sharpen/drink water/rest and get an update. Interesting contrast, being out in the middle of all that created beauty, and listening/thinking about this current conflict.
Spring came fast that week I was out there - started the week before wearing insulated pants, shirt, and heavy gloves, walking out back on snowshoes in knee deep snow to drop the last few that were close to the house, then plowing an opening to park the truck on the neighbor's piece up the road, finishing the week ankle deep snow, in a T shirt and regular pants (with safety chaps, B4 someone whacks me on that). The day-to-day difference was amazing.
It's been colder the last week, but less muddy as the ground has hardened back up.
I've learned a lot about older Kubotas from you and others - it seems they are pretty rugged, and sometime I hope to trade up from the Ford 1700 (27 hp) to something more powerful, as the woods work grows - thanks again for the info!
