I think this whole thread should be deleted and everyone moves on with their lives. Enough said........Crap happens and life goes on.

Actually I did order my tiller from Corriher, I've gotten a couple things from them and have been very pleased. The tiller I purchased from Corriher is a LandPride RTA1550 and they were closing it out so I picked it up at a great price.

As for the CCM-SWEET running arguements, I doubt I'd buy from Sweets, but I have found Mark at CCM to be helpful. At this point I am not inclined to buy from either of them. But I am willing to forgive and forget if either or both of them stops all the junk. Both do support this website, I believe I owe it to both to watch and see how they act in the future.

Sweet has also been helpful to me in the past. Hopefully, both men will read this thread and see how they can lose potential customers by their words. I have to say it is a real turnoff to customers when someone puts down the competition.

I've always thought that someone should show off their positives to get business, rather than highlighting someone else's negatives. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm going to leave it at that, and hope for a truce.
Let's move on...

Guys... I don't believe that either of them mean much by this little show of bravado. I have a suspicion that when they meet at a dealers convention that they have drinks together and laugh at us, rather than at the little snip it that they throw back and forth at each other. It kind of reminds me of two divorce lawyers battling it out in court for the last penny for their clients. The clients think that each lawyer hates the other one for what he/she is doing. The truth be told, they are both professionals and when the day is over, they are both still friend, colleagues, and enjoy each others company when they go out with their respective spouses. It is an act, nothing but an act, and all of it is for our benefit. I wouldn't have a problem purchasing from either of them. They are both reputable firms and both deserve our support. My comments to them..... thanks for the entertainment. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif When it comes time to make a purchase, I will pit one against the other for the best price... and I know that it won't work either!!!!

I'm with Junkman...this little back and forth between these two isn't really serious, though it is a bit annoying. I personally wouldn't judge either dealer by their sillyness here...

Maybe Jerry Springer should get Mark and Ken on his show? That would be interesting wouldn't it?!?! They could throw rake tines or lynch pins at one another!!! ...or have tractor jousts!!! ...or shoot at each other, paintball style, using hydro oil instead of paint!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mark, Ken:

Do you see how this public display of childish and totally unprofessional behavior is coming across to the TBNers??? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif C'mon guys, grow up!! Stop the bickering and provide us with the knowledge and quality products we need!!

They both have turned me off.I would consult with Art White if I were to buy online,I have talked with Art through email etc and I like Arts mature and knowledgeable approach.

Hi Guys
In the course of reading all this tiller info that you have shared, I decided to email CCM and ask about the MR145. Mark replied very quickly (as he has in the past) and told me that they had sold out and had not ordered more of this model due to the price of steel going up. What he said next is what I wanted to share...

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( "If you are set on a 48" tiller you would likely look at First Choice which would be one of the best choices left. Corriher's in NC has pricing similar to ours." )</font>

This is the kind of response that many of us can really appreciate, it is honest and it is professional.

With CCM's MR-145 out of the picture (at least for now) I have one less choice. Here's what my list looks like for now in case anyone has any opinions that they'd like to share. I listed them in order of price (w/o shipping). I used TPF for Tines Per Flange. I will be using my tiller with a BX2200 w/o FEL or weight (if I can get away with it)

<ul type="square"> King Kutter 48" from TSC- $999.99 +tax (Local) 6 TPF
<ul type="square">Corriher's 48" - $1095 + shipping 6 TPF
<ul type="square">First Choice 48" from Sweet- $1095 + shipping 6 TPF
<ul type="square">Befco T40 50" from Antietam Tractor- $1295 +tax (Local) 4 TPF, not sure of whether this is shear pin or slip clutch version
<ul type="square">LandPride RTA1550- 50" from Stouffer's- $2200 +tax (Local) 4 TPF with slip clutch
I had seen the LandPride for WAY less online, but that was a few weeks ago...

Cheers
Sam

SamR,
Thanks.
Due to increased demand for CCM Tillers we have not been able to keep up the supply on some sizes. Over the last year we have sold over 1000 tillers. Currently we are out of some of the sizes in all our 4 warehouses. Our dealers stock levels are very low as well. We do have more CCM tillers slated for production soon but with delays due to world wide steel shortages we are behind 2 months on tiller production. Please check with us we still have hundreds of tillers in stock and if we are out stock on your size and you can not wait, we will be happy to recommend some other good dealers to do business with. We thank the support of TBN'ers who have made our sales increase.
Regards,
Mark Carter
