This is the same police department that got the address's mixed up and broke down the door of a senior citizen in the middle of the night, gave him a heart attack when they started shouting and shoving him around resulting in his ultimate death. Using the word "Bozo" might be correct, but attributing it to the person who was arrested is incorrect. It is the Boston Police Department that has an over abundance of Bozo's. Some will defend the police just because they are the police. Others will also realize that just because they are sworn to uphold the law, doesn't mean that they will always do so. Other departments that come to mind that have officers that believe that the law doesn't apply to them are Milwaukee, Los Angles, New York City, New Orleans, to name a few. It is a shame that the United States Justice Department hasn't seen fit to look into police corruption in recent years like they did 10 years ago.

They made the private party a public safety concern when they allegedly threw bottles in the street at a police car. We have no proof that bottles were thrown, nor do we have any proof as to where the alleged bottles were thrown from. If bottles were thrown, then why didn't they pick up the broken bottles and check them for fingerprints to prove who the guilty person are? Sure, there are a lot of good police officers in this Nation, but we also don't have a shortage of those that believe that they are above the law. If every law enforcement officer were to have the integrity of Bird, the profession would be a lot better off. We do have proof positive that the person arrested was attempting to video tape the situation by the admissions of the police. We don't know who or what drew the police to the party, but it isn't uncommon for the police to stop at a home when they hear the noise of a party going on. As for his law suite being "frivolous", that is your opinion. I see this as a test of the recent enactment of laws that keep giving the police more powers, and taking civil liberties away from the citizen that was granted those liberties by the founding fathers in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
