Well you can plow the thistle under and each piece of root will make a new plant!! Learned from someone else's expererience fortunately. Donkeys will eat the flowers like candy. And if chopped down they will eat the leaves and stalks as well. Yeah, i try to get out there and cut when things are flowering or just before. Cheaper than roundup.
