Do you own a AG King?

I have the very tractor that you describe with FEL and a genuine 6' Gannon with about 110 hours. The tractor has been excellent with the exception of the rather crude wiring harness. Hard to start in the winter but a lower radiator hose heater and the slightest squirt of starting ether in the air filter air intake always does the trick.

My recommendation is to always buy from a servicing dealer, solves a lot of problems.

yes bti means that the ag king is a jinma, just w/ a different name, much the same way the tractor northern tool sells is named nortrac, but it's made by jinma (at least the smaller ones are).

Tractor Arrived

The PTO speed on this according to the lever is 720 or 540 ...

Ran into the following problems:
1. Water temp gauge pegs out after tractor is on for a short time. After engine cools down water temp gauge still pegged out. Dillon (the delivery man) called the office and it was determined the sending unit is bad and that a new sending unit would be sent out Monday.

2. No one filled the PTO reservoir (under the drivers seat) with fluid.

3. Who ever put the backhoe on has it so cock eyed I am afraid to operate it until I can spend the time to make it straight.

Drove it around just a short while (water temp) and played in H/L ...

Was wondering, if it ok to start off in L-2, L-3, H-2 or H-3 if the revs are high enough?

FYI, Dillon the delivery guy was a true professional!!!!!

1. In the mean time, just disconnect the wire at the sending unit.
2. That the hydraulics housing. It gets hydraulic fluid, fill plug location typically behind the operator seat. The PTO is in the transmission/differential housings, and gets gear oil. Fill plug locations are typically on top of the shuttle/creeper box/tranny housing/rear diff housing.

You can take off in any gear that will move the tractor without excessively slipping the clutch. Usually you take off in the same gear that you intend to work in. You'll probably find though that you won't get much meaningful work done in the two highest gears, they're pretty much just road gears.

I am new to this forum and noticed the discussion concerning the AG King Tractor. I am looking at one that was involved in a fire. Are parts, wiring harness, belts, hoses...ancillary parts, readily available on-line? How about maintenance manuals?

The price is almost too good to pass by and I have been looking for a small tractor to do some work around the property.

AG King is just a Jinma with a different name. You can get any part you would ever need and manuels are also available. Help from other owners is available from this and other Chinese tractor sites. There are also many dealors, some view this site daily and are ready to help with advice or parts. No need to worry about getting parts. Just make sure the price is right. Used Jinma's are very cheap now. Pat

It should be the parts, not as a rebuild. I would not touch anything that was in a fire because of the chances are the metal is now weakened.
