2010 Kioti DK40SE w/ KL401 Loader
I'll never forget that awesome feeling! Seeing my new Kioti DK40se pulling up at my place. It stole a spot in the garage for it's first couple of nights. Even the wife had to see what it felt like sitting high in the seat.

That was back in Feb. 10. It now has 270 hours on it, and I've had the time of my life with it!

Remember it quite well as it was less than a year ago. Big smile when the truck pulled up and unloaded my shiny new tractor. I pulled it into our single car garage to get more familiar with it. Then the wife came home from work and the tractor and myself beat a hasty retreat to the shed:(.

Lol...that's funny! I guess my wife understood my need to sleep with my new tractor.

September 2009, JD 4300 with 651 hours on it now. It's amazing how much this tractor has changed our landscape and enabled me to do many things on our small farm.

When "we" were shopping for tractors, the smartest thing I did was let her test drive a tractor first. Once she got in the seat, the purchase was a foregone conclusion. She has maybe 2 hours of seat time on the thing now.

 I did a dumb thing and didn't consult with the Mrs before buying the Case in 1982. When she drove up the driveway with the MIL, I was in big doo-doo as I mowed along. And "Dang", that cold steel was hard to sleep on. Although we were happily married for 48 years, I waited until she passed on before buying the Kubota. But I bet she is happy for me.

Mine hitched a ride with a larger tractor delivered to my neighbor. I have put a lot of hours on both of these machines.

First one (a Deere 670) delivered was pretty exciting...I'll never forget my wife's first words when she saw it: "Oh Goody! It has a bucket...easier to bury you with it".

The next two were fun...but not the "first tractor" excitement...

Yes , that was very dumb , ask me how I know ..... I did the same thing with a John Deere riding lawn mower in our early years of marriage . :) To the original question ; I remember the day every vehicle purchase I've made , the day my daughter was born , and that day I made that unauthorized purchase . Any more my wife doesn't really get to alarmed when I mention a new purchase . She knows I've researched and shopped and wore a pencil out before I commit to a major purchase .

Oh yes I remember that day. I have the most amazing wife she is very tolerant of my man toys (pronounced man tools). I had 2 delivered that day a used BX1500 with 100 hours (formally owned by TBN member JohnThomas) and a new L4400HST. It was a great day. Only sad part was sending the
IH 424 away, it was a good tractor and it served me well but was not the ideal tractor for the hills here where I live.
