Pizza Guy, yea I'll throw in a few bucks unless they give me a reason not to. Many are students just trying to get by. Know of one guy 35 yrs old w/family that works it as a second job every weekend. Gotta respect that.....

Not as cut-and-dried as some folks on other things...depends on the situation and my perception of their effort vs. the expected norm. I had a windshield put in by one the mobile services last week, guy went above and beyond to make it conveinient for me and did a good job. I know I paid for this in the price of the glass, but I chose to reward what I considered to be very good service with a $10.00 tip.

The thoughts abhorrent, but I know that these things (and worse) happen.

1. I think they deserve a buck or two for what they do for me.

2. I don't want to give a guy I know nothing about (other than the fact that he is in a position in life where he has to deliver Pizza) a reason to dislike me.

I always tip at a restaurant unless there is very good reason not to. I also leave a buck a day on my pillow when staying in a hotel room. Don't forget, your toothbrush is left in that room. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

When we had pizza delivered we did, a few bucks. We were on the very very outside edge of thier delivery area.

But, the one place around here that delivered, well thier quality went down hill. Now we do take and bake instead, and cook it at our liesure. It takes a little forethought.

The pizza place around here can practically be seen from our house. Most of the time we pick it up.

One time, we picked it up from the shop and when we got home, we discovered we were given the wrong order. We called them, and they volunteered to send someone over with the right order. When the delivery guy gave us the order, he continued to stand there waiting for a tip. My wife finally asked if there was any charge and he said no we paid the correct amount when we picked it up.

It's pizza delivery... Right or wrong sounds a little serious for such a topic. I don't blame you for your decision at the time. I have had many a wrong pizza delivered. We just eat em! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I very seldom get pizza delivered to my house (home). Usually when I order a pizza delivered, we are at my bachelor freinds house having a few brews in the PM after the kids are in the sack. After 2 beers, pizza is good no matter what topings are on it, and time is too short to get orders corrcted (typical timewarp to the goodoldays is 9:00PM to 10:30 PM) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
