Do your local ATV dealers let you test drive?

Brian, the serial number's 10th digit is a T so I guess that would be a 95. The front tires are Maxxis Front Pro 21X7-10 and the rears are Maxxis Rubicon 25X13.5-10. I am still unclear of the engine size but will go to a nearby dealer for a filter and perhaps have them identify it via the serial number. Rat...

The cooling fan would make sense since I notice there are times in low range when dragging around the chain harrow that it warms up a bit. I just going to slow to get much air.

Have them also confirm the year off the serial #. I honestly can't recall if it's the "S" or "U" that was skipped.
As for the tires, it sounds like your front tires may be a bit shorter than OEM. You should be OK so long as you have slippage available to the fronts when in 4wd.

Deere will bring one out and let you play on it for a day or two. I haven't met a dealer, Deere that is, that wouldn't let you try out the equipment if they had it there.

Yes I did read that book. That's why I get tired of hearing on here that people say it's just because I buy alot of equipment that deere is good to me. But the truth is deere treated me that way from the first small piece of equipment I bought and they have continued to do it. If there's a problem it's fixed. If equipment breaks down and you're in the field they are there. They are a good company and they do things right and that's why I'm a Deere supporter. I'm 99.9% sure you have got a LT-F250F. If they did make a 300cc that year, I think it's called a "King Quad" like the newer ones. The 300 also has different size front tires/rims. I can posts pics of a 250 & 300 if you want to see the difference.

They get demos it's just that some use the demo for thier use!
As a matter of fact i was a yamaha dealer just about two weeks ago told the guy i wasnt sure if i wanted the rtv or rhino and i had driven a rtv but not a rhino. guy just didnt get it ......didnt offer a test drive. i waited for it to maybe sink in ...NOPE!
Told him as i walked away to my vehicle that i would find a dealer that wanted my business and had some sales intellect!

You were a yamaha dealer two weeks ago or you were at a yamaha dealer two weeks ago!!
FYI All Kubota dealers will let you test drive a unit and bend over backwards to do what ever is neccessary to sell you a unit within reason but no manufacture that I know of doles out demos, as a matter of fact a strict hour limit is imposed or it becomes a used unit!!!

A friend is a kawasaki dealer and he said they get special priced demos for that purpose. i know he uses the demos for his use. thats why he has a new one every year!!
And he does sell them as used demo units!
No i wasn't a yamaha dealer i stopped at one, that was my intent. you must excuse me i sometimes slip on here especially after work. I spend so much time dealing with idiot pilots that it is nice to relax and thus i do sometimes slip in my posting .
And i did visit another yamaha dealer just friday morning who bent over backwards to accomadate me. he let me drive one and as a matter of fact almost insisted that i drive one.
I will probably be back there!!!
Oh and i was impressed with the rhino!!!!!
