Yep, take care of yeself. I had a fusion 45 years ago when they took me hip bones off and ground them up to make a paste which they used to weld me back together. Worked good. Now, my biggest problem is fibromyalgia mess, caused by trauma. Must have been Vietnam mess... Hang in man, we're rootin' for ye.

I appreciate the advice and kind words! I felt I had to take this shot because of positional related loss of sensation (& more recently addtional neuropathy components) that was moving on a trajectory to park me in a hover-round in a couple of years

Nick

Can you get those hover rounds with an FEL , HST, etc ?? Just joking:laughing: I hope you do well during you're recovery. I had (I think) C 5 or 6 fused some yrs ago It did ok ,but I wouldn't call it as good as new. They say Getting old ain't for sissies:laughing:

Good Luck on your surgery and recovery. I just had torn meniscus surgery done on right knee last week. I'm doing limited work, activities . Have to see doc on Thursday. Rehab exercises can be a little tough. plowking

I was waiting for a meeting to start years ago and a bunch of older guys were talking about their various back and knee problems. :( One of the guys was talking about getting back surgery and they were discussing which doctor to use as well as not really wanting the surgery but going under the knife was getting more likely. The words of truth I heard was what the doctor told one of the guys. The doctor told the guy he needed the surgery but the man did not want to have the operation. The doctor said, "When you can no longer take the pain, come back and we will schedule the surgery." I think that really is the truth. You take the pain as long as you can before taking the risk of the surgery. At some point, the risk is nothing compared to the pain. Ya gotta do, what ya gotta do.

Later,
Dan
