Hi everyone.
I'm looking to replace an older Ford 2600 tractor.
I checked out Deere's site and stopped at a closed dealer on Sunday to look at a 4105.
Does anyone own one or has anyone played with one yet?
My 2600 has enough power, but it's physically to large and rough to use.
I liked the 990 but would definitely like the HST or Automatic tranny.

It is a new model for this year. I have not seen anyone post up about driving or buying yet. JC

No experience with one, but here's a pic I took of one last month at the dealer.

Hmm, specs in like the current model 3203 tractor, with same size engine but turboed, in larger frame size but at 2900lbs, probably not larger framed, capacities like 3x20 series tractor, 2spd tranny....

I would venture to guess that this is a step up 3203 (or 990 replacement). Looks exactly like a 3203 too in styling, same grill, etc...

Bascially will fall in where the 990 is and priced right where the 990 is if not cheaper!!

What all do you need to do with your tractor?

How much power does a Ford 2600 have anyway?

The new "gadgets" are must haves in my book. :)

Well, with my 2600, I use a 5' brush hog to do some light mowing, I use a rear blade to plow snow, and I have a horse farm that I use a "drag" with to work up an indoor horse arena. I would like to have a FEL, but the 2600 isn't the ideal candidate for that. It's a 32 HP gas model.
My 2600 is physically a larger machine than the 4105, but less power, and I'm not sure what the weight difference is.
It's a 2WD model and the rear tires are filled with calcium. I have no problems with traction. Any ideas if I should do anything with the tires of a 4WD machine?

Well, there are quit a number of machines that can fit that build. How much mowing? Want to step up to a 6'?

Have you driven any of them?

Budget?

FEL is a must have in my book. :)

What kind of tires are you using? And planning on getting?

sounds to me like a 2520 would do what you need to do.

I would like to bump this one up.

Experience or knowledge on the 4105 would be greatly appreciated.

I think I might like the dual pedal hydro setup. Has anyone tried it?

I've been tentatively quoted $16,100 for the tractor alone, and will negotiate the loader and finish mower later. How does the price sound?

I'm thinking either a 6' brush hog, or more likely, a 7' Deere (Woods) or Buhler finish mower. Has anyone pulled either piece with the 4105, and if so, how does it handle them?

Many thanks,,,
