Does anyone know how to apply tractor decals?

I removed all the old decals but they were on there for dear life. It took a heat gun, a scraper and then repeated scrubbing with solvents. Kubota has been the hardest decal I have ever removed.

Decals turned out great with the advice offered here. Water in a spray bottle with a few drops of detergent. sprayed the clean tractor surface and decal back liberally and kept it wet. If wet enough I could slide it a bit and then blotted it dry. Stuck like bark to a tree.

Back in the day when i worked at a Ford Plant and the Woodgrain was applied to some Station-Wagons (after painting), we used soapy water to apply the large sheets of Vinyl. Prepping was key, but that just consisted of cleaning and wiping to make sure the surface was perfectly clean. We used 3 inch plastic squeegees to work the air and water out

yes, just a few drops in 32 oz spray bottle. just to make it feel a little slippery. it HAS to be cheap soap with no additives especially lanolin. i got the whole adhesive side wet first being careful to try and no get the paper side wet and not wait to long because the paper side will come apart. you will get the paper side wet but just don't over do it.

I will add I used distilled water because my well water is very hard and I did not want to deal with water spots possibly under a clear section of the decal. I must add, I was putting on the clear "stone chip" protection tape on truck, not a tractor

Putting the decals on with the soapy water is easy as can be compared with the old guess and press method.
