I have a skid steer type coupler on my loader arms and I use it with a bucket and forks. Occasionally I would like to use my forks on the 3 point. (Come to think of it, why not put the bucket on the back end some times.....I have top and tilt so it could be a useful scraper).

So, I need a 3 point to skid steer adapter. I have seen adapters for skid-steer loaders to allow use of a 3 point attachment, but I want one the other way. Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Yes, TBN-advertiser ATI Corporation makes a skid steer quick attach for the three-point, I believe.

I would imagine that you would be able to increase the weight of what you carry with your pallet forks if you put them on the three-point. Your three-point hitch can likely lift more than your loader...sounds like a good idea.

Be careful out there. 3-point attachments are far stronger pulling than they are pushing. There have been more than a couple TBNers that have damaged the lower arms of the 3 point by pushing in reverse, so you may want to keep that in mind.

Or actually worse where the aluminum mounts on some JD models like the 4310 where the lower link attaches actually breaks off. If your lower links are anything like the lower links Ford/NH put on our 2120, reverse operation will quickly destroy the lower link bars. Ours bent similar to that of a wet noodle being wrapped around a fork. If on the other hand it was anything like my old International, you could easily do it. It will depend on the 3 pt design in particular the beef put into the lower assembly.

ATI is the only one I have seen so far....I kept the "shavings" bucket from my old tractor for that type of application. The tractor didnt have a FEL. I had gotten an old Farmi 3pth loader that worked really well. All it had was one single acting cylinder (dumped by a hand release) and was very rugged. It never saw shavings the whole time i had it but it did move alot of gravel...no concerns about moving along in high gear on the woods roads with close to a yard of gravel on the back. The load was right where you wanted it. Loading it didn't seem to stress the tractor too much but it wasn't a new CUT /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
good luck
