Overall, Prime has saved me thousands of dollars in shipping costs and everything is delivered right to my door. I don't have to make a 250 mile roundtrip to shop at a decent store.

Yep, Prime really saves a bunch of money on shipping. To avoid going to Costco, we have had to mail order some grocery products. The cost is higher, and then there is shipping cost, but not that bad if we consider the cost to drive to to the store and it is only 30 minutes away. The shipping charge for the flour I ordered was 15 dollars at one point and I was not done ordering everything. I would guess my shipping would have been $20 and I paid $40 for their "prime" shipping server. Make a couple more orders and I am saving money.:laughing:

I'm slowly starting to see both bread and flour make it's way back onto store shelves. I hope that people stop buying up all of the bleach soon... I need to shock my well which will take all that I have on hand.
Bread was only out of stock here for a short time after the schools closed then it was back to normal. One time all of the eggs were gone but they have been in the store as normal since. Flour has not come back. Oddly, while most flours were gone, biscuit flour was still on the shelf. :confused3: Here we are in The South, where biscuits are king, and the biscuit flour was still available. Only thing I could figure is that people just use All Purpose flour and not the fancy, dancy biscuit flour. :D Last week, there was a non brand name All Purpose flour in the store but it was all by it's lonesome on a long empty section of shelves.

But, I did manage to buy TP! :cool2:

I've heard that there was an egg shortage but I haven't bought them for years. I'm getting about 4 dozen per week, and never have a problem giving the surplus away.

Thatç—´ weird. No shortage of flower or yeast here in north idaho. I just bought some bread machine yeast last week, and shelves were full. Dog food shelf was full also finally. No toilet paper...but I have plenty of rolls. Evan gave some to friends. Can food and soup were restocked as well. Hope idiot people are finally coming to their senses....but that’s a lot to hope for.

Things will settle down and some will remain prepared while others will go back to the same old day to day planning... until the next "crisis."
