Does it matter what direction the blades are in? (60" mower deck)

I doubt they stay oriented like that very long.

I haven't bought a socket for the blade bolts. I just use a crescent wrench and a block of wood. Works fine.

That picture is showing the pattern that the blades should be rotated among their designated spindles after sharpening to even out wear and not timing.

I personally thank you for posting that sentence. It made a world of difference for me, and most likely any others who don't have experience with these things or experience interpreting these instructions and pictures.

It just seems it could have been written a little better, But that's not necessary with all the knowledge in these forums .

This image refers to the rotation of the blades between sharpenings, NOT the position that you should install them in. Just FYI
