Does the injector pump on a 1920

Does the injector pump on the 1920 get oil from the engine, or does it have its own oil resevoir? I know some of the older fords had seperate oil res'v. I'm getting ready to service my machine and couldn't remember.

If yes, any tips / hints / instructions?

Every injection pump I've encountered is lubed via the "diesel fuel" that feeds it... that's why you don't want to keep cranking them dry when you run out of fuel... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The 4 cylinder ford (such as on the 7700) did indeed have it's own oil resovoir on the pump which needed engine oil, and changing something like every other regular oil change.

I'm not sure about the imports, I'd guess not, but don't know - I better find out, I got a 1720 that is getting close to it's oil change! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The injection pump does not have a separate oil reservoir like the Simms brand pumps used on some of the older tractors. The cam lobes that operate the fuel injection pump are part of the engine lube system, and the cartridge with the injectors is lubed by diesel fuel. Hope this helps.
