Does the new refrigerant make air conditioner run rough?

I think that is common for a window air to be noisy but you might see if it's easy to access the compressor to check for shipping pins. Back in the day they used to tie them down ridged for shipping and you had to remove the pins so they would float on their mounts. You could always call the MFG and tell them what it's doing. They may send a tech out to fix it under warranty.

Congrats on the long marriage. Me and mine are about to celebrate our 43rd year of marriage. We met at age 15 and dated till we were 20. Spent a few years apart between age 20-23 then got back together and married at age 24.

Buy another brand from same store take the other on back. Those thing get beat up in shipping, inspect the new box carefully before leaving store.

don't really know what you mean by ''New Refrigerant'' but no refrigerant will make a unit sound like it's falling apart

Agree, years ago noisy units were not because of the refrigerant, it was the mechanical parts. I have a 10 year old refrigerator and a new 1 ton window AC. Cannot hear either one run 10'feet away.
