Looks like a good buy for the price. If your not in a hurry you can sometimes get a good used one. Here's a picture of my Gannon FD-52 rollover blade. I love the rollover feature. Lucked out and got it for $300. It is a 52". Don't think they make that model any more but still make the rollovers.

Weight equals thickness of steel. Do a comparison of three known brands that are considered heavy duty and look at the specs. Compare it to the one your looking at. The sales brochure should give the weight. If they address everything else but... it is up to you to go the extra distance and find out. I like my Woods !

Mike, I'd love to have a boxblade like that LMC with one exception. I like a hinged rear blade that can be pinned or allowed to swing freely. This significantly changes whether a boxblade will float or cut. One of the reasons your LMC is such a bargain is that it does not have a hinged rear blade and also the scarifiers all have to be adjusted individually. If you had the hinge and mechanized scarifiers, that blade would be at least $1000 in my opinion.

As far as how heavy it is, I think it is heavier than anything you will find attaching the 3PH on your tractor. Look at the toplink adapter on the tractor. What thickness is the bracket the pins go through? Are your lower links in a captive fork? What about the lift arm to rockshaft links? How beefy are thier forks? I just don't see your tractor ever doing any damage to this boxblade. Even though the toplink looks smaller than some of the others, yours is supported by the large tube welded to the rear of the blade and has big gussets. Your lower hitch is as good as they come with additional gussets as well. While the the scarifier holes in the crosstube are not made with bushings or reinforcement, that crosstube looks very strong and additionally, there is some kind of reinforcement against twisting at every scarifier. The scarifiers on each end are close to the attachment to the sides. The next ones are right behind the hitch pins and supported well. The middle ones are close to the toplink tower. Nowhere are the scarifiers going to be able to twist that crosstube.

Again, I'd be very happy with how heavy duty your boxblade is. It could only be improved by the hinged rear blade feature and rollover scarifiers. Those are convenience and finesse features your box doesn't have.

I think you can be really happy with your purchase.:)

Box construction notwithstanding, I couldn't bring myself to calling it heavy duty with that tower design. Even with only 41 horsepower, I think that's going to be the Achilles heel. Capacity appears a bit small too, but then maybe that's all you need - I don't know.

These are the kinds of three point setups that I'd rate as heavy duty. Weight is important too, I'd say a HD six footer should run over 700#

I went back and looked at the Original Posters pictures again. Then I looked at your picture. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind which of those two blades are heavy duty in my mind.....
