The pressure hoses have a rubber center surrounded by braided wire and then the outer jacket. The braided wire reinforces the inner rubber tube and keeps it from busting. If the wire braids are frayed I probably would be making plans on replacing it. )</font>
I talked to Terry at PT ( I think it was Terry) a couple of years and he said basically the same thing Toy said, that the outer covering does not contain pressure. I would just wrap this area with either electric tape or slit a rubber hose and put it over it, held in place with tie wraps. I done this on the stump grinder where the hoses had abraided where they run through a bracket.
