I want to believe that my loader will float. But I don't know anything about hydraulics. This is on my Ford 4100, just some random old triple valve on top of the tranny. Loader is hooked in through the rear remotes. No names or numbers on it, and no one around here has seen one like it.
Today I took it apart. That valve is the one that goes to the loader. The other two valves will spring back to center -- this valve that I took apart will stick on either end of the throw. Which is why I was thinking maybe it should be able to float... otherwise I thought maybe there was some crud in it gumming it up, but it's clean and tight inside. No slop in the spool at all.
I feel like the two small ports on the valve would let oil bypass, but like I said I'm just guessing.
