My dealer just quoted me $750 to retrofit a hydraulic rear remote on my B2630. Says the kit costs $618, and it will require a couple of hours of shop time. I was surprised that the kit could be so expensive, but nothing's cheap, I guess....

Sounds right to me. The B series and standard L series use the same remote which is bascially a ROPS mounted unit.

When I add some remotes I will just go with an aftermarket Prince SV setup that many here hae posted about - which can be had for less. The big advantage on that setup is that extra spools are MUCH cheaper.

I paid ~$1250 for a dual remote setup on my BX24 when I got it last November. That included the valves, brackets, hoses, plus top and side cylinders and attachment hoses/hardware for the 3PH, so your quote doesn't sound too far off.
