Yup and my Deere works pretty simple too for running the PTO off the tractor, tilt the seat forward and pull up on the switch. No other interlocks like the new ones have.
My big problem is a really need a new seat soon.
It's definitely falling apart after 15 years and even though I drilled and riveted new mounting brackets to the seat pan they just don't hold that tight after a while and so when the seat flexes a little when I move around a bit too much engine dies...if I don't move my position back quick!

My TYM233 has a seat interlock that requires weight to be on the seat when starting only. After running, you can get off and it will continue to run. Maybe it's not working right, but I don't think I could stand it cutting off everytime I come off the seat.

Kubota M59, Kubota L3800, Grasshopper 428D, Topkick dump truck, 3500 dump truck, 10 ton trailer, more lighter trailers.
I wired mine on a switch. If I am mowing I turn it on. For any other work I turn it off. My tractor is a HST transmission, so I don't worry about a seat safety anyway.
