( One other thing I've seen happen with a slide- in bedliner I haven't seen happen with a spray- in...The bed liner sucked out of the bed while going down the road. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
Was it bolted in?

We use the bedliner that goes under the rail. On the Fords it is also held in with the tie downs in the corners of the box. I clean under mine once every couple of months and have never noticed any rusting issues in years of use. The paint is always about like brand new as well. If you've seen how they put the spray-in liners on they basically scrape all the paint away down to metal. I've also had guys complain that little pieces tore off and they got rust spots as well. Not sure what's best. LIners work for us and I spray-in works for you. )

I put a bed mat on the floor then install the bed liner.

Re: Doesn\'t exist (My perfect truck)

The perfect truck is front wheel drive with wider track smaller rear wheels so you don't have a drive shaft and rear end to work around to install a bed that both dumps and rolls back.

Re: Doesn\'t exist (My perfect truck)

I have seen folks who off road a lot or race off road Line-x or Rhino thier body for abrasion and gunk resistance. They can do pretty good these days with color matching.

Re: Doesn\'t exist (My perfect truck)

I'm going to take a wild guess and say...No, I don't think it was bolted in. But it wasn't my truck, so I can't say for certain. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The one I watched blow out didn't look to have the tailgate on, either. Driving around the Houston area you'll occationally see plastic bedliners laying on the side of the road so I don't think it's that uncommon for them to fly away.

Re: Doesn\'t exist (My perfect truck)

I bolted mine in with 6 I bolts.
One on each corner and one in the middle on each side.
This also gives me six tie down points which is quite handy.

Re: Doesn\'t exist (My perfect truck)

It might be easier in your area to go back and get something that blows out of the truck. Around Houston you'd be nuts to try to recover anything from the side of the road. It's durn near impossible for people to talk on their cell phone, drink their beer and keep from hitting cars on the shoulder at the same time. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I don't think people are loosing bed liners around here so there's no need to go back and get anything.
