I've had dogs all my life.......mostly mutts. Have never flossed or brushed their teeth.....never had a dog with a tooth problem. Some who lived a very long time lost teeth due to age.....some broke teeth off due to chewing on things they shouldn't have. Wondering if these new products are just something for these companies to make lots of money. Same thing with the vets.......they don't clean a dogs teeth for nothing. A few years back....my daughter had a dog that was a little yapper.....her vet said she had high anxiety.....wanted to put her on valium and recommended a dog psychologist. I told her.....take her for a walk every night and get her around other dogs and people........maybe she just needed her teeth brushed???
