I noticed it several times, but maybe I was always around not so smart dogs.:)

Dogs don't understand the concept of a swing, they don't know that it goes one way and it will always come back again and hit them on the noggin. Anybody else made the same observation?

I guess that it depends on the dog. I can direct my Golden Retreiver by pointing. He also knows left and right calls without pointing. If I point straight up, he goes further away from me. If I point straight down he comes closer.

If I point to his ball and say "ball" or "toy" he goes and gets the item.

He hasn't been around a swing so I can't tell what he would do.

Yeah, when Clementine steals my work glove and I ask her: Kde mam rukavici? (Where is my glove?) she knows exactly what I am talking about. She walks to it, picks it up and double a triple dares me to chase her.

Depends upon the dog. Swings are no problem for this guy, his weakness would be spherical objects  I swear he'd take more road rash for the kids if he thought it could be caught on the first bounce.....
