Yeah,dogs have their places for stuff like that,,but they got little brains,,if you was out in the wide open spaces,but in the wrong place,you'd have to build another fence to keep the dogs in[BIG FENCE],,they might see a little german shepard walking down the nearby public road,and decide he's got to go,,,might be a little girl walking the shepard,,she trys to help,,than,,there you go,,,
You maybe correct regarding SOME dogs, but the Kangal dogs that my neighbor has are trained to stay INSIDE the same electric fence that contains the goats, are very people oriented, and also very diligent in their job.
They stay with the goats 24/7. The dogs bark at things outside the fence, but will not leave the interior. If a predator goes inside the fenced in area - woe be to the - a person, however, no problem.
The dogs are a Turkish breed and did I mention - expensive? Turkey no longer allows this breed to be exported as they want to maintain the integrity of the breed. Very awesome animals to see. Not your average yard dog
