4sarge,
I bought a new Husky 372xp this past spring. I also looked at the Dolmars specifically because i had heard so much "good" about the 7900. I was elated to go to Dolmars dealer locator, and find a dealer in the next town. Unfortunately...... it is a hardware store that wouldn't give me the time of day when i went there to check them out. So.... i went to the next closest dealer, which is thirty miles away, but someplace i pass by fairly frequently. The owner of that shop (lawnmower/small engine/chainsaw shop) started telling me outright lies about competeing saw maunfacturers (this was NOT my first chainsaw purchase). I had ZERO confidence in anything he had to say. So.... like yourself, i found out Dolmar has a HORRIBLE dealer network. At least i didn't buy one and have a problem with it before i found out !! Anyway... i ended up buying my 372 at a Husky dealer about 25 miles away because my local Husky and Stihl dealers both leave alot to be desired. I've been more than happy with my purchase (my third Husqvarna).... and dare i say, the 372 RIPS !!!! If you have a good Stihl dealer, check out the new 361 and 441, the both have gotten great reviews. I aslo recommend you do some reading at both "Arborist Site" and "The Forrestry Forum" to catch up on which saws are good, and which are boat anchors.
