One thing that is often overlooked is that the Vitamin D you get from food or supplements is not the same as the Vitamin D you produce with sun exposure. Same argument for Omega 3 from supplements. Not the same as the Omega - 3 you get from eating seafood.
My Dr. prescribed Lovaza capsules for me. It's prescription-strength Omega-3/fish oil in liquid form.

Common myth that our ancestors just hung out in the sun. Some did, but they knew to protect themselves, too.

There are 2 basic types of sunscreen in the US. Chemical or metallic. Metallic is more of a sun block. Not everything that goes on skin is absorbed. Some things are, some not.

I'm grey now, but a ginger when I was younger. Sister shares my skin tone and has had some cancers...of course, she was desperate to be tan and laid out with oil as a teen.

Don't use sun screen, use sun block which consist of zinc oxide and titanium oxide. Block completely blocks the harmful UV rays that damages skin & causes cancer. Screen only screens out some of the UV. Walmart is my source.

What are you guys using for mineral SC? That stuff spreads only your face like plumbers putty.

What I'm using currently is called Kids, by babyganics. 12% zinc oxide, 3% titanium dioxide. Spf 50.

No idea where the boss found it.

How easily does it spread out?
Here's a test I just ran...10 rubs.

My arm. You can barely still see it.

I’m in the , wear clothing and a hat camp if I want to reduce sun exposure. Definitely not a fan of lathering my skin with nasty, sticky , oily chemicals.
Yup… I’m old school.

Great point! Sunblock with zinc or titanium oxide offers solid protection, especially for sensitive skin. I used to rely on big box stores too, but lately I’ve seen some dermatology clinics sourcing high-quality sunblocks via Pharmacy B2B platforms. Might be a good way to find stronger or more affordable options!
