L3710 Woods 1016 FEL, box blade, and a huge wish list!
Finally placed order. A big "Thank you" goes to all the members on this forum. I have lurked and read for months. I greatly appreciate all the information put here by the members. So, here it goes: L3710, Woods 1016 FEL with quick attach, 6' Rhino box blade with T&T, extra (3) Gearmore circuits mounted on ROPS to power T&T, Bradco grapple (for brush clearing). The order was placed 3/23/01. I expect 2-3 weeks delivery. Can't wait! Thanks again.

Wow, congrats! That sounds like a setup many of us would like to have. We expect a full report when that bad boy gets home./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

BBearden, can you tell me why you chose the 3710 as well as why the Woods loader over the stock loader. I figure the Woods may have better specs. As for the 3710, I really like that a mid mount mower can be mounted to it compared to the 4310 or even the 4610. Rat...

Rat, I chose the 3710 over the 4310 and 4610 because of price mainly. I needed some implements now, and couldn't wait till later to save up some money. In fact, I still need a mower and an auger. Plus the argument that you run out of traction before horsepower makes sense to me. And of course the mid mount pto. Don't have plans for it yet, but I like that it is there. The Woods loader did have better specs. I think it lifted approx 1600 vs 1300 for the stock. Plus, the Woods had the quick detach bucket. The Woods breakout force was significantly greater. After adding a detach to the stock it was more expensive and lifted less. I needed the quick detach because I wanted a grapple. I also like the idea of being able to use the same attachments as skid steers. Gearmore was chosen because of dealer recommendation. So, that's the highlight of the decision. I really liked the 4610, but it pushed the package past the budget. Brent

Brent, please let me know how the 3710 works out. I was going for the 4610 but have had second thoughts. The 3710 has a little less HP then the 4310, is there anything else that you know of? Having the mid PTO is a bonus and am willing to sacrifice a little HP and lift capacity, pump capacity etc of the 4610 and the little bit of HP that the 4310 has over the 3710. I'm curious to know more about the 3710 and its ability or lack of. Thanks, Rat...

B, congrats on your 3710. Know you will be happy with it. My brother has 3710hst he bought about 1.5 years ago. He loves it.

Keep us updated on the logging equipment and how it works.
