In the "General Settings" of one's TBN profile, under "Message Editor Interface", there is an option to choose which of three types of formatting you get when composing and editing posts/messages:

1. Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
2. Basic Editor - A simple text box
3. Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls

The following text appears below the options:

When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.

The above explanation is somewhat misleading/confusing, in that the fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor actually appears first in the list.

I always choose the Standard Editor on boards like this because I want access to all the controls and I want to be able to see the formatting code.

So whenever I quote someone this is what I see in the post/message composition box ... except that brackets [] show up where the parenthesis () appear below:

(QUOTE=k0ua;4807928)I think people just type in the word snip to let you know this is just a snippet of a full quote.(/QUOTE)

... which allows one to dissect a post into various points someone has made, and respond to each point individually and specifically.

The upside of WYSIWYG editor interface is also it's downside: you don't get to see the formatting code.

Ironciall enough last nights devotion was on Luke 6:37

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."

Although I don't believe our justice is the final decision, I do struggle with just letting God deal with some men that seem to have pure evil in their hearts and take delight in the suffering of others.

And for those of you that always wanted to multiquote, but were too afraid to ask:

on the first post you want to multiquote, press the multiquote button down at the bottom of each post that looks like a "thought balloon" with a + symbol near it. This button is just to the right of the "reply with quote" button.

So press the same button of the next post you wish to quote and repeat as many times as you like until you get to the last post you wish to quote and on this one just press the "reply with quote" button. It and all the previous posts you "multiquoted" will now appear in your reply box below.
I thought I heard someone talking about me............

Well, well...

I'll be danged:laughing:

That said, I'm still a idiot, and if I don't repeat it a couple of times back to back, good chance I'll forget it:eek:

That must make me only half an idiot, I can usually understand and remember a 2 step process.

If people's expectations are low, it's easier to far surpass them compared to when those same expectations are high:D

This is what you would call a View attachment 514173:D

I remember that train wreck. Some guy took my chainsaw out of my car while I was putting the shopping cart back in the cart corral, as the guy ran away with my $400.00 chainsaw, I knew I couldn't catch him because of my ingrown toenail. So I jumped in my 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback, put the petal to metal, as the guy ran over the train tracks heading toward his partners in another car. I was right behind him and as I approached the tracks, the train engineer saw me coming like a bat out of heaven and he slammed on the train brakes just missing me, I looked in my rearview mirror and saw the train crashing. I finally ran the guy down, but he manage to pass the chainsaw to his partners in a black Dodge Charger.

The the purse snatching chainsaw thief was taken to the local hospital with only minor injuries and wants to sue me for $500.k for pain and suffering and the state of North Carolina is pressing charges against me, I'm facing 10 years in jail if caught, but atleast I got my chainsawsaw back. The N. C. police say they have this video of me chasing the crooks,>>>>>> Bullitt - The Chase (part 1) - YouTube

Hey, even I know if you spent $400 for a chain saw, and the place you bought it from had shopping carts and a cart corral, you were probably robbed one way or another from the get go:D

Now... we all KNOW you're spoofing us. Ain't no 1968 Mustang 390 GT 2+2 Fastback ever going to catch up with that Mighty Dodge Charger! But - if you ever think about trying that again you might want to do something about that wheel hop. And maybe some traction bars would help too.

Good story though :)
