Thanks for your reply.I thought it would have a little value, but I guess it
can be sold for scrap metal.

Welcome to the forum. It would be worth scrap value depending on how much damage the water did to it. Any water in transmission, engine, ect.

Depends on the condition before the water damage. Then it depends on how long it was exposed to water. Water and tranny oil creates a mess. The iners are not designed to be exposed to water and rust is the enemy. Worth? I bear minimum. Water has a way to get into every cranny inside a tractor and it would need a total tear down and every internal part verified. That's allot of work. It would probably be considered "totaled" by an insurance company. it might be good for parts if you acquired another one though. Price: $500-800 which if in good physical shape could be salvaged out easily.

Hello to everyone. You know it is strange how we find ourselves involve in finding info on things we never
thought would be a part of our life.About this tractor, it has been in two Mississippi floods so it was water down and rusty, not working at all, bad tires one missing this belong to someone else I am just trying to get info on the possible value. I am not a tractor person but any information you give will be appreciated.

We've had two floods in the pass few years.Maybe you saw the one on the news in 2011.
I don't know anything about tractors except farmers and gardeners use them to work their
land.I am try to get a value for someone else.It is in really bad condition.Rusty with bad tires
and body parts is bad they say.If you know how I can get a document with the value or scrap
value it would really be appreciated.

depends on how it was cared for after the flood. how long it was under.. and how long it was out before 'care' started on it.

I've bought a flooded 'katrina' ford .. it was a rareish model.. I probably paid 1/4 of the value. felt ok about that. adn it was at least running at the time.

average 8n or fergy to-20 being worth about 2000$ give or take.. I'd put a non runner with known water damage int he 300-500$ range depending on rust issues.

It is badly rusty The owner decidec not to put any money into it because of the
cost to revive it.It is total out because of years of laying out in the weather after
the two floods the last flood here in Mississippi was May 2011.So it has been out in
the weather for a number of years. How can I fine out about junkyard prices on badly
damage old tractors like this?

call a scrapper and ask what he gets per ton on used vehicles and tractors.
then figure that machine at about 2300# if it has intack wheels hood and block.

i'm into buying.. not selling. :)

i collect old horse power. rusty is fine.. especially if it has a narrow front and hasn't been made in half a century or more.. :)

Do you buy restore to new condition and use them? I found a website that I can buy a written appraisal from.I need something in writting with an estimated value so that the person will have proof of value. The
scrap iron is 180 a ton.According to this person description of the tractor this is probably the way to go for them, with all of the water damage and rust with missing parts. It is not running and can't be turned on.
