does anyone run double blades on a ZD28 - 72" deck with mulching

I thinking of trying my gators on bottom with my OEM mulch blades on top ...

What are your thoughts on this ?

Those are one of the best decks we've seen! I'd hate to think that they move and cause a balance problem!

There can't be a balance problem as long as the individual blades remain balanced no matter how they move. I used double blades on my dixon (gators on bottom) and I really couldn't tell a difference.
On the Dixie chopper forums a few years back this setup was all the rage with many of the commercial guys. I haven't been there in a long time so I can't say if it is still popular.

Your probably right Bernie, I still just wonder why? Something else must be wrong to justify the potential need.
