Mitsubishi D2000
Hi -
I have a Mitsubishi D2000. I'm thinking about doubling up my rear tires. Will I need a new axle or can the additional rim be mounted to the weight brackets of my original rim.
thanks

If you don't have 2 piece wheels you will need a spacer between the wheels . I intend to do this with mt Hinomoto E264. It has 2 piece adjustable wheels so all I have to do is located another set.

No, but if you have welded wheel centers the tires won't have any clearance between them and the wheels won't meet.

It is possible (in Norway) to buy (or make) special bolts for the rear wheels. Extension bolts. They lool like long nuts with a bolt in the end. Remove the old nuts, put on extension bolts, one more wheel, and then the old nuts. This looks a bit fragile? but works.
Another solution is to maks something bucket like to put in the wheel center, with a new set of bolts on it.

Make your own, and save a couple of bucks. I took a piece of pipe and made spools by welding flanges with holes for the lug bolts. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
