Dove Tail vs Straight Deck

I would go with a straight deck. Also if you buy a tilt bed trailer, you have more components that could possibly break.

I wrestled with the same problem. I had a great trailer dealer that was only 5 miles away. They brought out an 18' dove tail trailer for me to drive my tractor on and a later a 16' flatbed with no dove tail. I could drive up the no-dove tail trailer ok - without bottoming out the BH on my BX25. That made up my mind. 16' too short and I don't need a dove tail. Ordered an 18' flat bed trailer like I wanted from that dealer and am very pleased with it.
If there is not a "co-operative" dealer near by, check Craigslist for trailers for sale and offer the owner $50 or whatever, to drop by your place and let you try loading your tractor.
I would not buy a $3000 trailer with out knowing it was what I needed.
Good luck with your decision.
