It is KM not miles. There are 1.6 Kilometers in a mile, so not an unrealistic claim.

That comes out to around 261,000 miles and some change. That's still doing good for a show belt

Not a typo. 496,000 Km, not miles. Oiled every fall and pressure washed every spring. Driven from 1987 to 2004. Stored in the barn since except for one summer rip a year.

As I interpret it, the car has not been driven in winter since at least 2004...those 11 years of a salt free condition would make a HUGE difference in the condition. Regardless, I admire people who take such good care of a vehicle. I have read about oiling the undercarriage of a car or truck but have never known anyone personally who practiced it.

Having a fall undercoating with something like Crown Coat is pretty common up here.

Yup. Alot of bigger mud trucks around here use oil or other things like that so it's easy to blast mud off it
