I kind of know what you mean. I'm about to close signing on the line for a 4240 but have come to the conclusion that I just can't sell my 580K. It's just so handy having something that can lift a full size stump or like you said, why worry about sticking your bar into the dirt trying to cut up a tree. The only reason why I didn't go with a track hoe was my land is too stretched out and driving one side to the other just takes too long and I really needed a loader that could reach over the side of my dump truck.

Pete, I downsized from the L48 to the L3830 HST and was very happy with that decision. Granted the L48 was a little different tractor but the size of the L3830 and the maneuverability was really nice to have. I never regretted the decision.

If you have the right tires on that GSA and can figure out a way to put a PTO and a 3 pt hitch, you could use it. I have a GS. Got it out yesterday for the first time this spring. It is addictive.
