You purchase a new post 4 tractor you get all the emissions stuff at no additional charge... Just think, after 2300 regens (about), you get to replace the cannister too. (Kubota estimates 2300 regens before replacement / cleaning). Don't worry, it won't be under warranty at 2300 cycles. Federal emissions warranty is 5 years. Once past that, it's your dime.
2300 regens would take most CUT owners a couple of decades.

Why it's designed the way it is but sometime in it's life, I suspect some owner (not the first one) will be on the hook for a cannister. I don't have that issue and I'm glad of that. I crank up some serious meter hours on my 2 units.

It’s very real. One of my farming friends has newer stuff. Doesn’t like it when it regens.
I will stick with older stuff until the elites comes and takes them
You just keep working and keep RPMs high. What doesn’t he like? Other than the light on the dash, if you’re working, there’s nothing that changes.

On the hook for a part that costs <$500 after a couple of decades of use. Wow, not really a consideration.

Because he knows one day it will fail and be expensive to repair.
I get its Here and not going anywhere and we have to accept it and the benefits of cleaner air are good, too!
It’s just more costly and prices go up to compensate for it

If you are running a constant 2200 RPM's you should not be having an excessive number of regens. High numbers of regens are usually a symptom of idling a lot. I'd keep a log and if they are occurring every few hours I'd call the dealer about it.

I actually prefer for the regen to occur when I'm working the tractor hard. You can just keep working as opposed to having to let it sit at high(er) RPM's to complete the regen when the regen light comes on while you are idling the tractor.

I used to get a sinus headache after a few hours of operating my old tractor because of soot and fumes, not with my new machine. I like that. I guess because my machine is/was open station. Probably not an issue with a cab.

Why do you stop working? Just keep going. Had them on the VW TDI. Horrible if you shut it down in the middle of one. Stinks. But never restarted to let it finish.

I had one of those VWs. Great car and no diesel smell. But I wouldn’t shut off during regen.
