DR Field & Brush Mower

I guess!?!?

I could see if you had the lawn mower attachment. I just use mine to cut grass/brush to keep the sapling form comming back.

Derek,

<font color=blue>"The last thing I would look at in a machine of this sort is the tires.</font color=blue>
The narrow bicycle type tires on my DR is the major shortcomming of my machine. They bury themselves in wet ground and spin on small diameter brush. I suspect this is the reason later models came out with the wider tires.

I guess I should have said the wider atv type on the DR or the ag type on the BG. I would think that a skinny bicycle type would not work well at all as you mention. I run the ag tires on the BG very soft. It's very, very rare that I will have traction troubles. I've had my BG in some pretty soupy mud before and was just amazed. As somebody said before, "Boys and their toys!"

I looked at Billy Goat website and got a list of dealers in the Dallas area. I gave one of them a call. He has the 8 HP machine for $1595. He doesn't carry the bigger model and only sells 3 or 4 of these a year. Not much call for bruch cutters in the big city I guess.

There was another similar machine I found on the internet, but I forgot who the manufacturer was.

If I ordered a DR today I couldn't get it for a month or so, so I might blow it off and wait for the fall sale. Meanwhile that big stuff I can't get to is sticking its tongue out at me.
