Draft control

I am a new tractor owner, this is my first (DK35). Having access to this site and all you experts is great! I appreciate you "expert/experienced" tractor owers response/advice. And as us Kioti owners know, we have great tractors but the manual is to say the least lacking!!! The draft control, what is it? The manual says it exists but does not inform one on how or why to use it.

DRAFT CONTROL IS MANLEY USED FOR DEPT CONTROL
THE MOST USED IS FOR PLOWING, IT A CONTROL TO REGULATE THE PLOW SO IT WILL PLOW THE SAME DEPT IN GROUND . NOT USED MUCH IN NORMAL USED. MOST CASES
KEEP LEVER DOWN

Dave,Like tractorhill says,draft control is seldom used,plowing might be the only time you would need it although I'm sure it has other applications.I placed the locking wingnut on the other side of the lever and locked it down to avoid confusing it with the other lever....Mike

dave, i use it for box blade work. it keeps it from going to deep. the way i look at how it works is if you had level gorund and set it at the ground level and there was a bunp it would cut the bump and not let the blade ride over it. on the other hand if there was a hole it would not let the blade go into the hole and cut too deep. with out the draft control you would have to adjust the box blade by hand to keep the ground level. another way to look at draft control is the hydraulics work both ways where the normal operation of the 3pt is to hold things up but not to push things down.
