draft control?

I am not sure. I am so new to all of this, that sometimes the questions have more information than I do!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Now, what I need I think is draft control. Some method for keeping the plow at the same depth when I am plowing based not upon my skill, but the machine, so that when the plow digs in deeper, I can let the tractor adjust the depth automatically. Does this answer your question?

Bob, I think I'd go to your dealer and ask him to demonstrate draft control for you; not just describe it, but plow some dirt. If or after he makes a pass, ask him to reset it for a lower depth and show you how easy it is to change. If you are satisfied with the demonstration, then draft control is something you might consider. If you are not satisfied or the dealer cannot demonstrate this feature, then you have to be a little suspect, don't you?

I'm not sure which way it will turn out, I'm just suggesting that you should know whether this feature will do what you want it to do before you spend money on it. $500 is a big mistake to my budget, but money well spent if it's not a mistake. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good advice, as always and much appreciated! TBN and it's members have saved me $$$$ and most importantly, making bad choices. Now, if he does not have a machine with draft control, what will I do next??

"What will I do next?" Step up to the TC48DA, draft control comes standard on that model. I was quoted the same price for both the TC45DA Hydro, and the TC48DA SS. For a gear head like me it was a no brainer. 18LA loader came with the package deal. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Kinda funny to follow this thread. Many of the tractors I own, originally were issued with draft hyds -only-,... and later had position control ( fords ).. abd draft/position was standard ( on all units with hyds) for 60 years... go figure. shows how times are changing.... not too many plows being sold to the average tractor user I'll bet..

Bob, it wasn't the power with my decision, I liked the larger frame of the TC48, as well as the added capacity of the LA18 loader. After driving my neighbor's TC35A 12/12 SS, and Donny's Kioti DK45S 12/12 SS, I decided that gear was the way to go. Spent most of the weekend on it, and enjoyed it. I especially like the fact that I can leave the throttle set around 1200rpm, and foot throttle up when more umph is needed. Then putt around with a full bucket of material. The TC48 at 2000 rpms is an absolute brute, and unless I was baleing hay, I couldn't see running the engine any harder. Bad Dog is right, it's a bit of a little beast. A TN70, and above must be out of this world powerful. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
