Anyone know where I can buy a good/cheap drag harrow? I have four horses on my properity and am getting tired of using a hand rake to break up the little gifts they leave behind.

Try TSC. They have some chain harrows of varying sizes and prices.

An earlier poster helped me out with this one (Thanks, Paul!), so I'll return the favor.
I have heard three different names for the type of harrow that I believe you are looking for:
Flexible harrow
Chain Harrow
and Drag harrow.
Assuming we're talking about the same thing, I'd point you to the same post Paul pointed me to:

Furest makes a great flexible harrow, there are harrows avaialble at Atwoods also. Earth and Turf makes a drop spreader sized 60 and 72 inches, it is steel and will last forever, their phone number is 717-355-2276.
CHEAP---nope-----when it comes to tractors and real implements there is no such thing as cheap so you are out of luck, maybe a couple of plastic units strapped together from home Depot????? J

Many things will work for what you want to do. Cheap? Yes, if you find an old bed spring that you can drag around, and use the horses to do the dragging. Pretty? no.
Also, a chain link fence section will work great. Cheap - yes.
Tie a few pieces of lumber together that will drag and flop along on the ground - should work great for what you want to do. Cheap - yes.
Auctions of farmers will turn up a myriad of drag harrows that will be very cheap. And they will be adjustable so you can set the steel tines from flat to nearly upright, and get a variety of combinations of effects. These things do a great job on worked (disc harrow or plow) ground.
I would be surprised if any of these things would cost more than about $50.

If you have a pond and feed your horses sweet feed to, get some mallard ducks and you will never have to worry about the "cookies" again.The ducks break it down quick to get the grain.They even take care of it inside the barn. That's how I do it at my place. Of course though you will miss out on the seat time of dragging a harrow. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
