Instead of the cap coming off the end of the oil drain tube, the tube and cap are now coming loose from the crank case. This is on a John Deere GT275. Can the tube be welded to the crank case? Thanks.

Might be one of the very few times I'd look at JB Weld so it can be removed easily. Too bad you can't have the tube knurled so it will stay in. Is that what they do or are they just pressed in? I had a car that did the same and JB worked.
