I just completed the 400 hr. service for my L-39, and again dumped 2 gallons of old hydro fluid on the floor while changing it. A solution to this problem might be a drain valve installed in place of the drain plug. I was able to buy one for my 99 Ford F-250 7.3 Diesel. Changing the oil on the truck is now a easy & clean process.
An additional reason for a drain valve, is that Kubota specifies changing just the two hydro filters every 200 hrs. Because of the filter location, you must drain all the hydro fluid before changing the filters. Being able to drain the fluid into a clean container, by attaching a hose to the drain valve, would keep the fluid clean to reuse it, until the 400 hr. change.
I am looking for a vendor who sells a drain valve for the hydro drain plug. I cannot find the info for the drain plug that I have in my F-250.
Thanks:
