Well pouring a 3" transition would change the drainage. I am fine with a " step up for now. If it ever becomes an issue I could easily make a ramp along the side of the house coming in from the right of the picture. That would be less messy and be out of the way of the water, driveway and garage door.

AND I'm done!!! PHEW! Glad to put that behind me! 32 bag pour mixed with an electric mixer. Supposed to rain Tuesday, excited to see it in action. Eventually when everything else on this project slows down I will make a deck that will allow us to walk straight into the house without a step.
