Was planning on changing coolant on my DK45SE Saturday evening. Probably didn't leave myself enough daylight to do the task, and one of the boys needed it to un-stick our UTV, so I was feeling pretty rushed. But I wasn't able to locate the drain valve, which I expected to be a really easy-to-find item.

Do I just need to slow down and look closer, or is the drain valve tucked in / hidden somehow?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know about the SE models but , personally, I just disconnect the lower radiator hose at the radiator. It empties fast and does a better job removing a any crud with the coolant.

Manual indicates theres a drain cock on the very bottom of the radiator. But the diagram that indicates this is more to illustrate flow through the engine, so it may be a generic picture. At any rate, like ritcheyvs said, lower radiator hose works just fine, and is the way that I've acomplished the task on my SE models. I was installing heaters on the lower hose at the same time as well. May not need that in Houston though.

The drain petcock is black and very hard to see, take a flash light to it, you値l be surprised how hard it is to see.

Thanks all for the suggestions and info. Will be making another attempt at this Saturday...hopefully starting with enough daylight to get things done right.
